When I returned from Florida, I told you that I’d have a couple of house tours for you. If you’re anything like me (and let’s face it, I know you are), you like to see how other people live!
Our “home away from home” was at my best friend’s masculine pad in Naples.
All the paint colors in the home were from the previous owners, but his furniture fit so well in it. He would want me to tell you that a flat screen tv is just waiting to be taken out of the box. It will replace what I affectionately called the “drive-in screen” soon.
Stunning kitchen, no? I wonder if he should have bought a bigger refrigerator. And look! There’s no fingerprints on it!
Of course, this family of four did it’s best to fill the island with seashells, cell phones, and flowers/weeds the little one picked from the yard.
The dining room (aka the room he hardly ever uses) has a perfect view of the pool, and it’s right next to a gorgeous bar/butler’s pantry. Normally fully stocked with beverages and candles, he had stocked it with tons of pool toys for the kids. No need to wonder why he’s my bff at this moment.
The entry separates the master bedroom from what became the guestrooms. No one was bumping into one another, and it was perfect for some privacy.
I’m still kicking myself for not getting more pictures, but here is his bedroom. I told him that the painting is mine when he dies. ‘Cause I’m morbid like that. And I really love that painting.
Of course, everyone’s favorite room wasn’t really a room at all.
If we weren’t at the ocean or out to eat somewhere, we were here. Night and day.
Just so you don’t go thinkin’ I’m a liar.
And my favorite spot (besides being in the pool, of course) was riiiiight heeerre.
It’s fun to take a peek into other homes, eh? It’s such a lesson in design and architecture when you travel to other regions. I love it!
